Condemns the arrest of JKLF senior member Nazir Ahmad of Yaripora
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) delegation reached Handwara, to express support to the family of the killed civilian. A young taxi driver, identified as Asif Iqbal was shot dead in Handwara on Sunday, in what the army termed as ‘cross fire’
The JKLF said that the merciless murder of innocent Asif Iqbal is another ‘glaring example of Indian terrorism in Kashmir’.
In a statement the JKLF said, “a bread earner of his family has been killed with impunity and international community is maintaining criminal silence on these gruesome killings.”
The vice chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) master Sheikh Muhammad Afzal while speaking to the mourners at Asif Iqbal’s residence at Thandipora Kupwara today said, “Indian rulers and their stooges in Kashmir including all pro-India politicians, political parties, assembly members and rulers are directly responsible for these killings because it is these people who are legalizing these killings and providing necessary legal cover to the killers.”
Afzal also delivered a message of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik to the bereaved family and assured them that whole Kashmir was at their back in this hour of grief and sorrow.
While condemning the arrest of JKLF district secretary Nazir Ahmad by police, JKLF vice chairman said that highhandedness of police has crossed all limits, which is highly condemnable.
It is worth to mention that JKLF member Nazir Ahmad has been taken into custody by police two days back and he still remains in police custody.
Meanwhile JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed his ‘heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of mother of Jenab Abdul Majeed Bhat (The president of Bazar Committee Maisuma).
JKLF chairman including Muhammad Yasin Bhat, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri today visited the bereaved family at Chanapora and expressed condolences to them. He prayed for the heavenly abode of the deceased and also for the Sabr-I-Jamil to the bereaved families
