Hopeful that Pak will support ‘genuine’ struggle of JK citizens, says Mirwaiz
Srinagar: Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said on Twitter that he was hopeful that Pakistan will keep supporting the genuine struggle of people of Jammu Kashmir as they have done in the past.
یوم پاکستان کے موقعہ پر کشمیری عوام کی طرف سے پاکستان کے تمام بھائیوں اور بہنوں کو مبارک باد اس دعا کے ساتھ کہ پاکستان امن وسلامتی اور خوشحالی کا گہوارہ بنے-امید ہے ماضی کی طرح مستقبل میں بھی پاکستان کشمیریوں کی مبنی برحق جدوجہد میں اپنی بھرپور حمایت جاری رکھے گا۔

Earlier, Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik called for a complete shutdown in Jammu and Kashmir on August 15 and have appealed to the people to observe it as a ‘black day’.
They said that an atmosphere of fear has been created in Kashmir through frisking and harassment of people at the checkpoints established by the forces in the run-up to August 15.
