In redistribution of portfolios, Ganai, Vyas loose big chunk of key portfolios

Sharma gets key portfolios including finance, PDD, H&UD

Srinagar: In the redistribution of portfolios ordered after the joining of fourth Advisor K K Sharma, the Governor Satya Pal Malik allotted key portfolios to Sharma including finance, public works, PHE/I&FC, housing & urban development and Power Development Department.

The big losers in the redistribution of portfolios are two retired J&K IAS officers presently working as Advisors to Governor Khursheed Ahmad Ganai and B B Vyas.

While Ganai has been stripped off the key portfolios of public works (R&B), PHE/I&FC, Agriculture & horticulture and Industries & commerce, the key portfolios of finance, power development department and housing & urban development department have been taken away from B B Vyas.

According to an order issued by General Administration Department, B B Vyas will hold the portfolios of planning development and monitoring, Agriculture& Horticulture, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, Disaster Management, Ladakh Affairs, Elections, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Tribal Affairs and ARI Trainings.

The newly appointed Advisor K K Sharma has been allocated the significant portfolios of Finance, Public Works (R&B), Power Development Department, PHE/I&FC, Industries & Commerce, Information Technology and Science & Technology.

Another Advisor K Vijay Kumar will hold the portfolios of Home, Forest Ecology & Environment, Health & Medical Education, Estates, Information, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, Youth Service & Sports and Hospitality & Protocol.

Khursheed Ahmad Ganai has been allocated the portfolios of School Education, Higher Education, Tourism, Social Welfare, Transport, Hajj & Auqaf, Technical Education, Floriculture, Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Cooperative, Culture and Labor & Employment.
