‘Fired up and ready to go’, says Congress after Priyanka Gandhi given charge of UP East
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the sister of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, has finally decided to participate in active politics, months ahead of the Lok Sabha elections due by May.
Often dubbed the “Brahmastra” or the mythical ultimate weapon of the Congress, Priyanka Gandhi will debut as the party’s general secretary in charge of the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh from February 1.
In a tweet, Congress said that they are ‘fired up and ready to go’.
Many congratulations to Shri K C Venugopal, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Shri @JM_Scindia on their new appointments. We’re fired up & ready to go! https://t.co/q7sMB8m6DO
