Two armed forces personnel go missing along with arms in central Kashmir’s Budgam

Budgam: Two armed forces personnel along with arms have gone missing from central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that a Special Police Officer (SPO) identified as Altaf Hassan (Belt No 1197 /SPO) son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Qazipora Chadoora, who was posted in SOG Camp Chadura, is missing along with two AK-47 Rifles and three magazines.

Meanwhile, another armed forces personnel associated with Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is also missing along with a magazine of his service rifle from a camp in Budgam district from last two days.

Official sources said that Commandant of the 14th battalion of SSB has made a communication to police station Chadoora that the constable identified as Altaf Hussain (110734231) son of Alam Din of Rehan Koteranka Rajouri has absconded from the campus at Nagam at around 2115 hours on October 13.

The Commandant has sought registration of the FIR in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of both the incidents and further investigation is going on.
