Military operation against militants underway in Shopian, says police
Shopian: A military operation against militants is underway in Chowgam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said on Saturday.
The military operation, according to officials, started on Friday night after a joint team of police, Army, and CRPF received information about the presence of militants and subsequently, a search operation was launched.

As the joint team of armed forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, officials said the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
