Kulgam military Op: Militant killed, says police

Kulgam: A militant has been in a military operation as the exchange of fire between militants and armed forces resumed again on Thursday afternoon in Mishipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The Kashmir Police Zone in a tweet wrote, “KulgamEncounterUpdate: 01 terrorist killed. Operation in progress. Further details shall follow,”

Earlier, it tweeted, “Encounter has resumed again at Mishipora area of Kulgam. Cordon & search operation has been continuing since Tuesday (14th June). Further details shall follow.

The operation started on Tuesday after armed forces launched a cordon and search operation in Mishipora following input about the presence of militants in the area.
