Bear leaves three injured in north Kashmir, hospitalised
Handwara: At least three persons were injured in a bear attack in Mawar area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon.
Reports reaching said that a black bear emerged at Yahama village Mawar and attacked three persons leaving them with injuries.
The injured trio identified as Javid Ahmad Pir, Bashir Ahmad Sheikh and Mohammad Yousaf Sheikh was evacuated from the site to a nearby health facility for immediate treatment.
When contacted, a Wildlife Department official said that a team has been rushed to the area to catch the bear. (GNS)
