This map of Delhi will show you how badly Syria has been destroyed

Posted on

As the Syrian conflict enters its seventh year, more than 465,000 Syrians have been killed in the fighting, more than a million injured and over 12 million Syrians – half the country’s prewar population – have been displaced from their homes, says an Al Jazeera Report. But the question remains – why do killings in Syria stay unnoticed. The answer is simple. Deaths in Syria are reported through statistics where killings in other parts of the western world, are always reported with faces and identities.

To understand the impact of Syrian civil war, we tried superimposing the bombed areas of Syria with New Delhi and the results are devastating.

This Pentagon map shows where the US is bombing in Syria. High intensity is represented by red dots whereas low intensity is represented by dotted circles.
