National Conference protests against civilian killing in Kupwara

National Conference on Monday took a march against the power crisis, ration Crisis and killing of innocent youth at Thandipora kupwara.

Scores of NC workers participated in the protest march that was led by party General Secretary and legislator Ali Muhammad Sagar and senior vice president Mohammad Ramzan Choudary.

The march started from National Conference headquarters Nawa-i-Subh complex.Amid anti-government and anti-PDP slogans. The protesters were carrying banners carrying messages like “Stop civilian killings”, “Stop RSS agenda” and “Provide basic facilities to people” and they also carry lanterns to symbolize the power woes.

Asif Iqbal, 22, a resident of thandipora kupwara was killed in army firing near his home.

The marchers tried to proceed towards Lalchowk, however, they were stopped by police near sher-i-Kashmir park.

Earlier talking to reporters, Ali Muhammad Sagar told reporters that the PDP-BJP government has miserably failed to live up to the expectations of people. He said that killing innocent youth in Kashmir Valley has become a routine while no measures are being taken to stop such killings.

He said that common people have been suffering on account of the price hike, power woes while government has been doing nothing to allay the sufferings of the people.

While talking to reporters Nc Senior leader Mohammad Ramzan Chodury condemns the innocent killing of youth and termed the government probe into the killing of Kupwara driver a useless practice.

He alleged that BJP-PDP government failed in every aspect and adding that if government will not stop the killing of innocent people we will protest state wide.
