10-year old seriously injured after shell goes off near Shopian gunfight site
Shopian: A 10-year old boy identified as Musharraf Ahmed was seriously injured after an un-exploded shell went off at the gunfight site in Chaigund village of Shopian district.
According to a report by news agency GNS, people were clearing the debris of the house which was razed to the ground when the shell exploded.
“An unexploded shell went off resulting in injuries to a minor boy namely Musharraf Ahmad,” said the report.
He was immediately shifted to Pulwama district hospital where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura in serious condition.
In the gunfight, two militants were killed, the police said. During the clashes near the site, a teenager named Shakir Ahmed Mir was killed and another injured.
Also, two girls identified as Sumi Jan and Sabreena were seriously injured during the clashes.
