Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Saturday paid a visit to ailing chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Mohammad Yasin Malik who was admitted recently in SKIMS due to acute urinary tract infection.

According to a JKLF spokesman, Malik’s infection was so acute that ‘instead of passing urine, he was passing blood’.

“Instead of urine, he was passing blood and from morning he was complaining of severe pain. He was first taken to Khybar hospital and then to SMHS and from there to SKIMS Soura where senior urologist Dr Salim Wani and cardiologist Nisar saw him,” read a JKLF press release.

“His INR and USG were taken and USG showed a blood clot in his urinary track which needed to be removed immediately. He was shifted to Operation Theater where a catheter was fixed in his urinary track from which blood and urine is being extracted,” JKLF spokesperson said.

APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had already visited the ailing JKLF chief.

On Friday, Mirwaiz in his sermon, while addressing the government said that by disallowing Friday prayers the Kashmir issue is not going to disappear.
