Extending Amnesty to traders by Finance Minister welcome, much more needed, says KCCI
The President of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) Javid Ahmad Tenga on Thursday ‘appreciated and welcomed’ the Finance Minister, Syed Altaf Bukhari’s decision regarding extending the amnesty granted under Government order No: 39-FD of 2018 by 45 days.
According to the KCCI, the extension thus granted will gives a short time relief to the trader community in general and is going to have some positive effect on our economic activity, there is much more needed and expected to be done regarding tax liability on account of goods destroyed in 2014-floods.
In a statement issued by the KCCI, spokesperson Sheikh Imran said, “The KCCI appeals to the Finance Minister to issue necessary directions to the concerned Department that the relevant SRO is implemented in letter & spirit to mitigate the hardship faced by the trader community.”
