Yashwant Sinha breaks all ties with BJP, says ‘democracy is in danger’

Yashwant Sinha, the former Finance Minister on Saturday broke all ties with the BJP and said that the ‘Democracy in the country was in danger.’

“I’m breaking all my relations with BJP now and I’ll not take any position in the future.”

He added, “Today I am taking ‘sanyas’ from any kind of party politics, today I am ending all ties with the BJP.”

Sinha also slammed present government for influencing election commission and investigative agencies in the country at the first convention of his newly floated Rashtriya Manch (National Forum).


Democracy in the country is in danger, he said while addressing the gathering.

Disgruntled BJP leader and party MP from Patna Sahib, Shatrughan Sinha, AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav, RLD leader Jayant Chaudhury-PU and others were also present in the convention of Rashtriya Manch is going on at Sri Krishna Memorian Hall at Patna.

Rashtriya Manch is not a political platform, clarified Sinha.
