BJP’s Kamlesh Pawan behind attack on my brother, says Kafeel Khan

Dr Kafeel Khan, a suspended BRD Medical College paediatrician has accused a BJP MP from Bansgaon, Kamlesh Pawan of playing a role behind the June 10 attack on his brother, Kashif Jameel, reported news agency ANI.

He gave names of Satish and Paswan Nangalia, who are owners of Baldev Plaza as shooters hired to attack his brother.

“Paswan has no personal enmity with my brother. My uncle has a piece of land which Kamlesh and Satish encroached upon in February. FIR was lodged and they had sought stay order by the High Court on arrests,” he stated.

He also said that the UP police hadn’t taken any action despite giving promises of 48 hours. He also asked that, “a CBI investigation or that a High Court judge investigate this case. We don’t want this to be investigated by UP Police.”

In response, Paswan denied the allegations, claiming “Dr Khan is trying to hog the limelight after getting a letter from Rahul Gandhi in his support.”

“He has also said Yogiji and I are not on good terms. This is absolutely absurd. He himself had gone to the hospital after getting injured but had not taken my name before the police then. After five days, he is taking my name, which is ridiculous,” Paswan said, adding that he was ready for any probe, “by the CBI or any other agency,” Indian express reported.

Kashif Jameel, a property dealer, on June 10 had been shot three times when he was returning home by two masked motorcycle men in Gorakhpur. The incident had happened 500 metres away from the Gorakhnath temple.

Kafeel Khan had said on twitter that he would not bend and that this attack was a result of false cases charged against his brother.
