Another Amarnath Yatri dies, 15th incident in less than two weeks

Srinagar: Hours after a woman Amarnath yatri died of cardiac arrest at the Baltal base camp on Sunday, another yatri has died due to natural causes, reports said.

On Sunday, a yatri from Telangana, Lakshmi Bai complained of chest pain and breathed her last in the hospital where she was taken for treatment.

On Monday, another amarnath pilgrim from Punjab Gurnam Singh, 60, was taken ill at the Baltal base camp. He died in the base camp hospital.

With Singh’s death, the death toll in this year’s Amarnath Yatra has reached 15.
