Youth killed during clashes in Trehgam
Srinagar: A youth was killed on Wednesday evening when army opened fire on protesters in north Kashmir’s Trehgam area.
An eye-witness told Free Press Kashmir over phone that the army opened fire when a group of youth at Zargar Mohalla in Trehgam pelted stones on an army party passing through the area.
In the firing, a youth was killed, while another was injured.
The deceased has been identified as Khalid Gaffar Malik. Shot in throat, Malik was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. He was 22.
As per the reports, the killing has triggered massive demonstrations in the area.
