CRPF personnel injured in Batamaloo attack succumbs to injuries

A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who was injured after militants attacked a forces’ party near Fire and Emergency Services department in Batamaloo succumbed to his injures.

Quoting SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray, GNS news agency reported that the militants opened fire upon CRPF men in Batmaloo, leaving a trooper injured.

The trooper, identified as Shankar Lal of 23 BN succumbed at a hospital. A manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers, the SSP said, according to the report.
