Kashmir University appoints Muslim Jan as its Media Coordinator

Srinagar: Kashmir University (KU) appointed Muslim Jan Fazili as Media Coordinator of its varsity on Wednesday. She is a faculty in the media education department of the university and has experience in dealing with the media.

Muslim did her post-graduation in mass communication and journalism and geography from MERC, University of Kashmir and KU.

In 1994, she was appointed as a teacher at Media Education Research centre.

She is currently the senior editor of the MERC’s laboratory newspaper, Media Times, and university newspaper, MERC Times.

She had worked as a trainee reporter with NDTV news in 2005 for six months. Later, she would work with Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir.

Before her current posting, she was a Coordinator at the Institute of Kashmir Studies and South Asia of the University.
