No war, no negotiation with the United States, says Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran on Monday said that there would be no war or negotiations with the United States.
In a tweet, the leader said:
Recently, U.S. officials have been talking blatantly about us. Beside sanctions, they are talking about war and negotiations. In this regard, let me say a few words to the people: THERE WILL BE NO WAR, NOR WILL WE NEGOTIATE WITH THE U.S..

There has been widespread speculation over whether Iran would be forced back to the negotiating table following Washington’s withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and reimposition of sanctions.But Iran has rejected fresh talks, saying the US can no longer be trusted after violating its commitments under the deal.
Recently, the United States re-imposed a wave of tough, unilateral sanctions against Iran bringing back into effect harsh penalties that had been lifted under a historic, multi-party nuclear agreement that President Donald Trump abandoned in May.
Moreover, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had warned the U.S President Donald Trump against the pursuit of hostile politics toward the islamic regime, saying, “America should know … war with Iran is the mother of all wars.” He, however, did not rule out peace in the ongoing sanction war headed by the U.S, state news agency IRNA had reported.
