Srinagar: Kashmir Valley will likely witness a spell of widespread precipitation, rain and snowfall, in the coming week. The Valley received unexpected snowfall few days back and as a result there was a complete power breakdown across Kashmir.
The entire Valley plunged into darkness due to the sudden snowfall that occurred in November 3. The unpreparedness on part of authorities shocked one and all. The Jammu and Kashmir Governor administration came under heavy criticism following the incident.
An official said that they are ready to meet any challenge this time.
A MeT official said that there is every possibility of scattered to fairly widespread rain/snowfall in Valley from November 12 to 14. He added that advisory for 3 days from November 12 to 14 has already been sent to the administration.
