Panchayat polls: Till 12 pm, Budgam records lowest voter turnout of 9 percent in Kashmir

Srinagar: Budgam district of central Kashmir recorded the lowest voter turnout of 9 percent in Kashmir valley till noon during the ongoing seventh phase of Panchayat elections.

Kupwara district in north Kashmir recorded the highest voter turnout of 34 per cent till 12 pm.

Here is the voter turnout till noon as per the figures released by the electoral officials:

Kupwara 34 percent, Bandipora 17.1 percent, Baramulla 12 percent, Ganderbal 18.1 percent, Budgam 9 percent, Anantnag 13.8 percent, Ramban 57.9 percent, Reasi 61.4 percent, Samba 64.2 percent, Jammu 63.1 percent, Rajouri 64 percent and Poonch 72 percent.
