Human Rights Week: Mirwaiz condemns ‘nocturnal raids on resistance activists’
Srinagar: Chairman of the Hurriyat (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned nocturnal raids and arrests by the police of pro-freedom activists to thwart the commemoration of human rights week.
In a tweet Mirwaiz said:

Recently, Joint Resistance Leadership had urged people to observe Human Rights Week from December 3 by holding candle light vigils.In a statement, the JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik appealed to the “freedom-loving” people of Kashmir to lit candles and torch lights outside the mosques in their localities after evening prayers from December 3-9.
