JRL leaders, activists hold funeral prayers in absentia for militants killed in Tral

Srinagar: As per the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) program, activists and workers offered Nimaz-e-Jinaza in absentia for militants killed at Tral in south Kashmir.

Meanwhile in a joint press release, JRL leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik who is in jail along with many other activists have said that Indian aggressors have from a long time adopted and executed the policy of choking the space of peaceful political resistance in Kashmir and this suppression has now touched new heights as police is even trying to put a ban on funeral prayers and mournings.

JRL said that Indian prime ministers appreciation for Kashmir police is actually for these kinds of oppressive measures and choking of peaceful political space because by these acts police has been pushing young Kashmiri boys to the wall and hence leaving no space for them but to sacrifice their lives.

JRL said that by choking political space of young boys, not letting them express their anger and thoughts through peaceful means, torturing and humiliating them in political resistance has and is resulting in forcing them to tread the path of ultimate sacrifice.

JRL said that use of brute force and policy to eliminate every voice of dissent is aimed at putting Kashmiris into submission but Indian aggressors fail to understand that repression and systematic genocide will never succeed in putting a nation that has resolved to fight for its right to self-determination.

“The government brutality and its crimes against common people in Jammu and Kashmir are so grave and heart wrenching that they don’t need any excuse to highlight them, Hurriyat (G) Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani said in a statement.

Commenting on the statement by the Home Minister of India, wherein he had said: “Separatists in Kashmir use every opportunity to provoke the masses and incite anti-India Sentiment”, Hurriyat chairman said that “we have time and again reiterated our stand that we neither harbour any hatred against India nor we want or wish anything bad for the people of India.”

We wholeheartedly wish them good and honestly want them to live in peace and prosperity. We are not fond of criticizing India nor are we in search of any excuses to hammer you out.

The spokesman said that Hurriyat (G) Conference leaders and workers including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Bilal Sidiqui, Syed Mohammad Shafi, Khawaja Firdous, Mubashir Iqbal, Saleem Zargar, Skeikh Musaib, Rameez Raja, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah and large number of people offered Nimaz-e-Jinaza in absentia at Hyderpora Srinagar, while as Shakeel Ahmad Bhat offered at Khanyar and Riyaz Ahmad, Gulzar Ahmad and Bilal Ahmad and others at Soura.
