JK Govt transfers eleven top police officers

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday ordered the transfers of eleven Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Out of the 11 officers shuffled, one was heading a division and four of them were heading the district units.

Dr Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Inspector General of Police Jammu, has been posted as IGP (CIV), police headquarters against an available vacancy.

M. K. Sinha of IPS batch 1996, awaiting orders of posting has been posted as IGP, Jammu.

RafeequI Hassan, Incharge DIG, Armed Jammu has been transferred and posted as Incharge DIG, Armed Police, IRP, Kashmir against an available vacancy.

Tejinder Singh, SSP, Budgam has been transferred and posted as SSP, Jammu, relieving Vivek Gupta, Incharge DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range of the additional charge of the post.

Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Udhampur has been transferred and posted as AIG (Tech), police headquarters. The government also transferred one equivalent level post from overall cadre strength of IPS to PHQ for the purpose of withdrawal of salary of the officer.

Rajiv Omparkash Pande, SSP Poonch has been transferred and posted as SSP, Udhampur vice Rayees Mohammad Bhat.

Nagpure Amod Ashok, SP Hazratbal has been transferred and posted as SP, Budgam vice Tejinder Singh.

Sudhanshu Verma, SDPO Sadder Srinagar has been transferred and posted as In-charge SP Hazratbal vice Nagpure Amod Ashok.

Ramesh Kumar Angral, SSP (A) CID headquarters has been transferred and posted as SSP, Poonch vice Rajiv Omparkash Pande.

Sumir Kotwal, Deputy Commandant, IR 15th Battalion has been transferred and posted as SP CID (A) Headquarters vice Ramesh Angral.

Master Popsy, Additional SP awaiting orders of posting in PHQ has been posted as Deputy Commandant, IR 15th Battalion vice Sumir Kotwal.
