After peoples’ march in Kargil, NC, PDP call for opening of Kargil-Skardu route
Srinagar: After a peoples’ march in Kargil demanding the opening of Kargil-Skardu road, political parties across ideologies have come out in support.
PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has said that her party through ‘Self Rule’ not only envisaged the opening of the Kargil-Skardu road but other routes too in order to increase contacts across borders.
In a tweet, the Former Chief Minister said:

National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, said that he hopes during his forthcoming visit, Narendra Modi will announce the opening of the route as a confidence building measure.

Earlier, Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had said that all natural routes dividing JK should be opened.
