BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi attacked by Naxals in Dantewada confirmed dead by local police
A convoy of the Bharitya Janata Party (BJP) was attacked by Naxals in the Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. P Sundar Raj, DIG-Anti-Naxal Ops told News agency ANI that BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi was killed in the attack.
As per initial reports, at least five people were believed to be dead.

The incident comes hours after attack on RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma was attacked in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP Spokesperson Sunil Sethi confirmed that Sharma died at GMC, Jammu. Medical Assistant Chandrakant Sharma working at Kishtwar district hospital was injured in an attack by unknown gunmen while his PSO was shot dead.
