LoC trade suspension: Extremely unfortunate, such measures for short terms gains come at a huge price, says Mirwaiz
Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Chairman of the Hurriyat (M) on Friday said while reacting over the suspension of the cross LoC trade said that instead of enhancing people to people contact, Government of India, is losing whatever was achieved since the time of Atal Behari Vajapyee.
During his Friday sermon Mirwaiz said that, such short term measures come at a huge price for people.

On Thursday, Government of India suspended the cross LoC trade.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that the action was taken as the Government has been ‘receiving reports of cross LoC trade routes being misused by Pakistan based elements for funneling illegal weapons, narcotics & fake currency.’
