Saudi Arabia executes 37 citizens for ‘terrorism’

Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry said on Tuesday it executed 37 people in connection with terrorism crimes.

The state news agency in a tweet said, “The death penalty was implemented… on a number of culprits for adopting extremist terrorist ideologies and forming terrorist cells to corrupt and disrupt security as well as spread chaos and provoke sectarian strife.”

All who were executed were Saudi nationals.

On April 22, rour heavily armed attackers were killed a “failed terrorist attack” on an interior ministry building in Saudi Arabia’s Zulfi, north of Riyadh.

According to a report by the Arab News, the failed attack had been claimed by Daesh (ISIS).
