Srinagar: Satya Pal Malik , Jammu and Kashmir Governor on Wednesday rejected reports that the Government of India was planning delimitation in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing a press conference here at SKICC, governor said that there was no confirmation from Home Ministry about this.
“Delimitation in the state is a rumour,” he said, while highlighting the achievements of the governor rule.
Earlier, mainstream parties reacted sharply to reports that the GoI was planning delimitation in the state and termed the attempt of delimitation as partition of state on communal lines.
Recently, it was reported that Home Minister of India Amit Shah has, included redrawing the long pending delimitation of constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
