Son dead, father injured as under-construction building collapses in Central Kashmir

Srinagar: A 17-year-old boy was killed and his father received major injuries after the slab of an under-construction building collapsed in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Reports said that a slab of an under-constructing garage at Warasangam village collapsed leaving a father-son duo critically injured.

Soon after the incident, both the injured persons identified as Abdul Hamid Bhat (50) and his 17-year-old son Ajaz Hamid Bhat, were shifted to the hospital.

However, Ajaz succumbed to his injuries while his father Abdul Hamid is undergoing treatment at District Hospital Budgam.

Reports quoting a medical official said that Aijaz died on way to hospital while his father is undergoing treatment.

A police official while confirming the incident said that a case has been registered in the regard and further investigations have been taken up.
