Religious places in JK to open from August 16, says Admin in fresh guidelines
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday issued fresh guidelines permitting the opening of religious places in the erstwhile state from August 16.

According to the guidelines, religious places, places of worship within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are to open from August 16 and Installation and use of Aarogya Setu Smartphone application is mandatory for all.
The guidelines said that visitors in JK, will not be allowed to touch statues, idols and holy books.
Pertinently, the death toll due to the novel Coronavirus has reached 498, as six more patients who were tested positive for COVID died in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Officials sources said that six patients who died include a 25-year-old man from Dangiwachi Baramulla, a 78-year-old man from Lal Bazar Srinagar, a 68-year-old man from Rainawari Srinagar, a 60-year-old man from Nawabazar Srinagar, a 70-year-old man from Marhama Anantnag and a 50-year-old woman from Larkipora Anantnag.
