106 armed forces personnel among 1,235 COVID cases reported in 24 hours in JK, toll reaches 66,261

Srinagar: In the last 24 hours, Jammu and Kashmir reported 1,235 new novel coronavirus cases including 106 armed forces personnel besides seven minors and two doctors, taking the total count to 66,261.

Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, official sources said that Srinagar reported 210, Budgam 59, Baramulla 30, Pulwama 62, Anantnag 28, Bandipora 36, Kupwara 22, Ganderbal 21, Kulgam 12, Shopian  19, Jammu 253, Rajouri 68, Udhampur 64, Kathua 41, Doda 98, Samba 52, Poonch 73, Ramban 35, Reasi 15 and Kishtwar 37.

Meanwhile, JK reported eighteen more COVID related deaths in last 24 hours, taking its fatality count to 1044.

They said a 68-year-old woman from Pattan Baramulla died at SKIMS Soura, 11 days after admitted to the tertiary care hospital. A 82-year-old woman from Takiyabal Sopore died at the SKIMS hospital, 12 days after he was admitted.

Also, a 75-year-old man from Magam Budgam who was admitted to the hospital on September 19 also died at the hospital, they said. A 75-year-old man from Ramban died four days after he was admitted to the hospital, they said.

They said that a 65-year-old man from Kralapora Kupwara, admitted with bilateral Community-Acquired Pneumonia died a day he was admitted at a hospital.

Also, a 60-year-old man from Qamerwari who was admitted with bilateral CAP on September 15 died at SMHS hospital, they said. A 55-year-old man from Alochi Bagh Srinagar died nine days after he was admitted to CD hospital, one of the exclusive facilities for the management of the COVID.

Among others, the other victims include a 60-year-old woman from Ghandhinagar Jammu, a 75-year-old woman from Talab Tillo, a 60-year-old man from Purani Madhi and an 80-year-old from Ghandinagar.
