Military operation against militants starts in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Pulwama: A military operation against militants has started in Samboora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.

Official sources said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 50RR and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Kumar Mohalla Samboora after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, triggering an operation.

Official sources added that exchange of fire between armed forces personal and militants has started and two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
