28 travellers among 610 COVID cases reported in 24 hours in JK, tally reaches 87,364

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 610 fresh COVID cases including 28 travellers, taking the total tally to 87,364.

Officials said that 247 cases were from Jammu division and 363 from Kashmir.

Giving the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 129 cases, Budgam 32, Baramulla 58, Pulwama 28, Kupwara 25, Anantnag 19, Bandipora 36, Ganderbal 24, Kulgam 6, Shopian 6, Jammu 116, Rajouri 16, Udhampur 10, Doda 17, Kathua 8, Poonch 11, Samba 8, Kishtwar 38, Ramban 19 and Reasi 4.

Moreover, they said, 809 more COVID patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 405 from Jammu division and 404 from  Kashmir.

The JK administration said that it has also evacuated about 6,24,844 JK residents, stranded in other parts of the country due to COVID lockdown, via Lakhanpur and through special trains and buses till date amid strict observance of all necessary guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.

As per the official data received in this regard, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has received 155 special trains at Jammu and Udhampur railway stations from different states and UTs, so far, with about 1,40,292 passengers while about 4,84,552 persons from other states and UTs including 937 from abroad have been evacuated by the government through Lakhanpur till date.

As per the detailed breakup of the figures, about 5727 stranded passengers have entered through Lakhanpur from October 16 to October 17 mornings while 134 trains have reached Jammu with a total of 124,596 stranded passengers belonging to different districts so far while 15,696 passengers have reached Udhampur in 21 special trains, so far. Also, no train arrived at Jammu today.
