Militants attack armed forces in Tral, says police ‘1 injured’

Tral: An armed forces personnel was injured in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday after militants lobbed a grenade on the deployment.

Officials sources said that a posse of Central Reserve Police Forces of 180 Battalion deployed in Tral town was attacked as militants hurled a grenade on them.

The incident resulted in injuries to Assistant Sub Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force who was subsequently shifted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police in a statement, said that militants at around 11: 30 am today, lobbed a hand grenade on the joint deployment of Police and CRPF at sumo stand in Tral.

ASI Asim Ali of 139 BN CRPF and a civilian identified as Mehraj- ud- Din Sheikh were injured in the incident.

In this regard, police have registered a case under FIR number 87 /2020 at Police Station Tral.
