DDC, SSP Kulgam ‘responsible for killing’ of our worker in Kulgam, allege BJP leaders

Kulgam: The Bhartiya Janta Party leaders have alleged that deputy commissioner and SSP of Kulgam district were “responsible for the killing of three BJP workers who were got dead in YK Pora area of south Kashmir’s district on Thursday evening.

Many BJP leaders including JK chief of the party Ravinder Raina visited the residences of the slain trio to express solidarity with the bereaved families.

Talking to reporters, Raina said that the sacrifices of BJP workers won’t go in vain and the “sponsored militancy” in Kashmir will have to pay the price.

“World powers must join hands to conduct NATO airstrikes on militant camps in Pakistan like strikes were conducted on Al-Qaeda and Taliban,” he said, adding that that the trio was innocent and were killed for their love for the country.

BJP JK spokesman Altaf Thakur while speaking to media reporters said that “DDC Kulgam and SSP Kulgam are responsible for their killing”.

“We contacted DC and SSP many times and told him that our leaders are facing threats, but they never took it seriously,” he alleged.

“It is totally a security failure which led to the killing of three innocent people for which two officers are responsible.”

On Thursday evening, three BJP workers including Yuva Morcha President Fida Hussian Itoo, Umar Rashid both residents of Y K Pora, Qazigund and Umar Ramzan of Sopat, Qazigund were killed in a militant attack.

Hundreds of people participated in funerals of the slain trio which were held at different places in the area on Friday.
