After four days of closure, Srinagar-Leh road opens for one-way traffic
Srinagar: The traffic movement on 434 km long Srinagar-Leh highway which was suspended last Saturday after fresh snowfall at Zojila Pass, was restored on Wednesday.
Officials said that road was opened for one way traffic from Leh-Srinagar on Wednesday morning. He requested people before starting the journey, officials and control rooms must be contacted.
Due to snowfall authorities closed the Srinagar-Leh road, which passes through Zojila pass and connects Jammu and Kashmir with Ladakh union territory, for traffic.
“The road was closed for traffic as a precautionary measure in the wake of snowfall,” the officials said.
