Armed forces personnel injured in ‘accidental fire’ in north Kashmir’s Sopore

Srinagar: An armed forces personnel was injured in an “accidental fire” at Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Official sources said that the rifle of the policeman identified as Mohammad Ashraf, went off accidentally and the bullet hit him on the foot in Tujjer area of Sopore town.

The Jammu and Kashmir policeman, part of the Quick Response Team (QRT), was later shifted to hospital for treatment, they added.
