Hizb militant’s wife dies of heart attack in Pulwama
Pulwama: A 37-year-old woman whose husband joined militant ranks last month passed away on Friday due to a heart attack.
The deceased identified as Rozy Jaan, wife of Zahoor Ahmad Lone, a resident of Inder Pulwama, passed away today due to the heart attack, family memebers told Free Press Kashmir.
They said that Rozy complained of a chest pain and was subsequently shifted to District Hopsital Pulwama where doctors declared her brought dead.
Zahoor joined Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit last month and several of his audio clips went viral on social media. In one of the audio clips, Zahoor is heard praising his wife and appealing the armed forces to not involve his family members in his decision of joining the militancy. Zahoor’s elder brother Nisar Lone was also a militant and was killed in a gunfight in 1999.
Zahoor has an 18-year-old daughter and a 12 year son, the family said.
