PDP’s youth President Waheed Parra sent to 30 days judicial custody by NIA court

Srinagar: Special Judge of National Investigation Agency (NIA) Sunit Gupta on Saturday sent Peoples Democratic Party leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra to 30 days judicial custody in connection with a “militancy” related case.

Parra was booked in a case related to his alleged “close links” with Irfan Shafi Mir, who was arrested along with Hizbul Mujahideen militant Naveed Babu and suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh earlier this year.

After perusal of the application moved by the CIO and the CD files, the court granted 30 days judicial remand of Parra.
