Old Town Sopore witnesses partial shutdown to mourn killing of local militant
Sopore: A partial shutdown is being observed in old town Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Friday over the killing of a local Jaish militant in an army operation.
Reports said that majority of the shops in the areas including Old Town, main Chowk and Bugoo Sopore remained shut to mourn the killing of a 22-year-old ace footballer turned militant.
Reports added that public transport is off the roads; however, a thin movement of private vehicles is being observed in the areas.
Pertinently, two Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants identified as Abrar alias Langoo a non-local and Amir Siraj a local militant, were killed in a military operation at Wanigam Payeen village on Thursday.
