Three drug peddlers from Punjab arrested in Kulgam, contraband substance recovered

Kulgam: Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested three women drug peddlers in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

Officers while patrolling in Bus stand area of Qazigund Kulgam intercepted three suspicious women, all residents of Cheema Wadi Amritsar, Punjab.  During checking, officers were able to recover 25kgs of poppy straw from their possession. They have been arrested and a case FIR No. 326/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Qazigund, police said in a statement, adding further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
