Weeks after a Kashmir-born woman was appointed in White House Office of Digital Strategy, another Kashmir born expert Sameera Fazili has been inducted into the US president-elect Joe Biden administration as Deputy Director of the National Economic Council.
Fazili in the administration will take care of manufacturing, innovation, and domestic competition in the United States.
Fazili, a daughter of Dr Syed Yousuf Fazili and Rafiqa Fazili graduated from Yale Law School and currently lives in Georgia with her husband and three children.
Prior to this, Fazili served as a Director of an engagement for the community and economic development at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Earlier, Aisha Shah was named as Partnerships Manager at the White House Office of Digital Strategy, which would be headed by Rob Flaherty, Director of Digital Strategy.
Raised in Louisiana, Shah previously served as digital partnerships manager in the Biden-Harris Campaign. She currently serves as an advancement specialist for the Smithsonian Institution.
