Kashmir highway to remain shut on Friday

There shall be no traffic on Jammu-Srinagar, the only surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with the outside world, on Friday.

A traffic department official told that Friday has been declared as a dry day for maintenance and repairing of the thoroughfare.

Meanwhile, Mughal road, connecting Shopian and Poonch districts, remained closed due to the snow accumulation. Srinagar-Leh highway was officially closed on the orders by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on 30 December.
