Inclement Weather: Schools up to middle standard closed in north Kashmir’s Kupwara

Kupwara: The authorities on Tuesday ordered the closure of schools up to the middle standard for a day in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district due to inclement weather conditions.

As per a statement, Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Fani said that all the schools up to middle standard shall remain closed for today keeping in view the inclement weather conditions and for the safety of students. “This is as per directions of DC Kupwara”, the statement read.

Notably, rains continued in the plains of Kashmir Valley on the second consecutive day while upper reaches received snow, bringing the mercury substantially down.
