Cop on duty dies of cardiac arrest in Awantipora, say officials
Srinagar: A Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel posted at District Police Lines Awantipora in south Kashmir died of a cardiac arrest on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.
Identifying the deceased as Aijaz Ahmad, a resident of Ladhoo in Pampore, the official told Global News Service that the police personnel suffered a massive cardiac arrest, leading to his death.
The body will be handed over to his family after the conduct of necessary medico-legal formalities, the official added.
