964 COVID violators fined in Kashmir, 190 arrested, 92 FIRs registered in 24 hours

Srinagar: Continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of the 2nd wave of Coronavirus, JK Police have enhanced its efforts to sensitize the masses about controlling the highly contagious Coronavirus.

In a statement, police said that it enhanced the efforts to implement the COVID  guidelines/SOPs/restrictions strictly throughout the valley, and a slew of measures including restrictions u/s 144 have been put into place to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

During the last 24hrs, Police have arrested 190 persons, lodged 92 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of Rs 1,22,920/- from 964 people for violating the guidelines/rules throughout the Kashmir valley.

The special drive against the violators of Covid guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by Admin to curb the COVID pandemic.
