110 COVID infections, 1 death reported in last 24 hours in JK

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 110 new coronavirus cases while one person died due the virus in last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

16 of the new cases were reported from Jammu and 94 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 3,25,529.

There was one death reported due to the pathogen, from Kashmir, during the time. So far, 4409—2166 in Jammu and 2243 in Kashmir have succumbed as per official data.

Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 52 cases, Baramulla 7, Budgam 18, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 7, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 1, Doda 4, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 1, Ramban 1 and Reasi 0.

A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories at CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

Moreover, the officials said that 120 more COVID patients have recovered—29 from Jammu and 91 from the valley.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said.

So far, 45 black fungus cases have been confirmed in JK, the officials added.
