40 Afghan militants trained to enter Kashmir using underwater techniques, says report

About 40 militants of Afghan origin are positioned in camps near the Line of Control (LoC), and the Intelligence agencies and paramilitary have been issued alert, according to a report by ANI.

“After Taliban took over the government in Afghanistan, we have got the input regarding the movement of Afghanistan-based militants entering India with the help of Pakistan-based organizations which are backed by ISI,” ANI quoted an official.

“The agencies have got the input that around 40 such militants are stationed at a camp in the Nakyal sector of Pakistan near the Line of Control (LoC). They have been trained to enter India by crossing the Poonch River using tubes and snorkeling,” added the official.

The Intelligence agencies have received inputs about the movement of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Harkat ul-Ansar (HuA) and Hizbul Mujahideen.

“We have got the inputs that these Militants are trained in making Tiffin bombs,” the official said, as per the ANI report.
